San Diego-based education startup empowers families to embrace technology as a tool for growth, not guilt.

SAN DIEGO, Calif., November 4, 2025 — Instead of waging war on screens, Kid Laboratories founder Elena Czarnowski believes it’s time for parents to make peace with technology by transforming it into a powerful learning tool.

Her company, Kid Laboratories, a digital learning platform for kids ages 11–14, is launching a national campaign called “Screen Time vs. Skill Time” to help families reimagine their children’s relationship with technology.

Czarnowski, a former tech executive turned educator, has built her platform on one central belief: education must evolve with the world kids are growing up in.

The campaign addresses one of today’s biggest parenting challenges: balancing technology with meaningful engagement. According to Common Sense Media, Gen Alpha spends an average of 4–6 hours per day on screens. Rather than promoting guilt or strict limits, Czarnowski encourages parents to help kids use technology with purpose.

Through its online programs in AI education, financial literacy, and character development, Kid Laboratories helps students transform everyday tech time into skill-building experiences. Its interactive courses, including AI Workshop for Tweens, Moneywi$e: Financial Literacy, and Goal Getter: Character Development & Goal Setting, teach kids to think critically, make smart decisions, and lead with confidence.

Czarnowski, a mother of three, says her mission comes from both experience and empathy.
